MAP Strategies Group CEO presents during influential Sedona Forum

MAP Strategies Group CEO Mi-Ai Parrish interviews billionaire investor and global insider Ray Dalio during the 2022 Sedona Forum, and discusses his latest book, “Principles for Dealing with the Changing World Order.”

The trauma and tragedy occurring in Ukraine headlines the 2022 Sedona Forum this week – the first time the influential international gathering of governmental, business and academic leaders convene both in-person and online – with MAP Strategies Group CEO Mi-Ai Parrish leading a conversation with billionaire investor and thought provoking best-selling author Ray Dalio.

Dalio's most recent book “Principles for Dealing with the Changing World Order: Why Nations Succeed and Fail” seems especially resonate given the current geopolitical upheaval in Eastern Europe, in which he and Parrish will use as a backdrop to current events and explain where Ukrainian events fit within the historic world order.

“I am pleased to be able to bring this thoughtful high-level conversation to our sophisticated and already well-informed audience,” Parrish says. “Mr. Dalio delivers another layer of historic context and an insider's perspective that helps to understand the situation and motives of the actions in Europe that only a handful of global experts can offer.”

Established by long-time U.S. Senator John McCain of Arizona, The Sedona Forum is the McCain Institute’s annual gathering of national and international leaders held each spring in Arizona's red rock country, where attendees discuss varying approaches and solutions to real-world problems. Past presenters and participants include: Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Gen. Mark Milley; the elected President of Venezuela Juan Guaido; CEOs J.K. Symancyk of PetSmart, Liberty Media's Greg Maffei, Jeffrey Guldner of Arizona Public Service, and Hamdi Ulukaya of Chobani; Arizona State University President Dr. Michael Crow; U.S. Ambassador to Pakistan Asad Khan; U.S. Senators Mark Warner, Lindsey Graham, and Chris Murphy; among many others.

“There are few events like the Sedona Forum outside of perhaps Davos or Aspen, and the spectacular setting among the area's famed red rock monoliths brings out creative solutions to the world's most-pressing challenges,” Parrish says. “I can't wait for it every year.”

Dalio is a legendary investor and hedge fund manager, who has served as co-chief investment officer of the world's largest hedge fund, Bridgewater Associates, since 1985. The firm serves institutional clients including pension funds, endowments, foundations, foreign governments, and central banks, employing a “global macro” investment style based on inflation, currency exchange rates and U.S. Gross Domestic Product. Bridgewater has approximately $140 billion under management.

Don't miss a minute of the conversation between Parrish, Dalio and other global experts at The Sedona Forum, hosted by the John McCain Institute, an “action tank,” rather than think tank, committed to securing democracy, promoting human rights, and advancing character-driven leadership in partnership with Arizona State University.
