Acclaimed medical researcher displays information 'Integrity' next month
Renowned vaccine researcher and staunch critic of the anti-science movement – Dr. Peter J. Hotez, MD, PhD of Baylor University joins The Integrity Project at 5 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 16, at the Downtown Campus of Arizona State University. The event will be moderated by Dr. Sherine Gabriel, Executive Vice President of ASU Health and Professor of the Future of Health Outcomes and Medicine in the College of Health Solutions.
MAP Strategies Group CEO Mi-Ai Parrish is a board member of The Integrity Project and the Managing Director of ASU’s Media Enterprise.
Dr. Hotez plans to discuss his newly released book The Deadly Rise of Anti-Science: A Scientist's Warning and address the continued dissemination of medical misinformation and false narratives spreading throughout today's media landscape, including two well-documented cases involving podcaster Joe Rogan and anti-vaccine politico Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
“The caliber of speaker of Dr. Hotez elevates The Integrity Project to another level and we’re thrilled to have him join us,” says Parrish. “His depth of knowledge and selfless dedication to helping others through non-patent vaccines to poorer nations shows his character, which is something The Integrity Project closely aligns.”
With his trademark bowtie and unparalleled depth of vaccine knowledge, Dr. Hotez appeared nearly daily throughout the COVID-19 pandemic on major news networks such as NBC, NPR, the BBC, and others. He is regarded as a national hero for his ongoing work as a preeminent vaccine researcher and proponent of truth in science. Dr. Hotez is the founding dean of The National School of Tropical Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, as well as director of the Texas Children’s Hospital Center for Vaccine Development.
